Miami rapper Pitbull is red-hot — and breaking ground in the music business. Pitbull, whose real name is Armando Perez, on Tuesday released his latest studio album, PlanetPit — the first to come with its own app. To help its launch, Pitbull performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! while on tour in California and will be on the cover of the next issue of Billboard magazine, sporting a white suit and his trademark sunglasses.

Billboard picks the cuts “Mr. Worldwide” and “Love International” as the likely hits on the album which features artists Jennifer Lopez, Enrique Iglesias, Chris Brown and Marc Anthony.

But the album’s unique feature is its App designed by Miami-based ROBA Interactive, which for the first time allows fans to hear the chatter and see what happens in the studio as an artist records and interacts with musicians. “I want people to see this iPad App and say: ‘WOW! Now, I get Pit,’” Pitbull said in a press release. The ROBA app is available in the iTunes App Store along with the album, PlanetPit.
