Larry Rosen: musician, producer, executive producer, and music industry entrepreneur. Mr. Rosen is the Chairman of Larry Rosen Productions, Inc., creator and producer of JAZZ ROOTS – A Larry Rosen Jazz Series, co-founder of GRP Records, co-founder of LRSmedia, and co-founder and past Chairman of N2K, Inc. (NASDAQ). Mr. Rosen is the creator and producer of the PBS television series LEGENDS OF JAZZ, and is the creator and producer of multi-media TV series RECORDING: the History of Recorded Music, with hosts Quincy Jones and Phil Ramone.

Rosen is the producer/executive producer of over 350 albums, of which 80 have been nominated for GRAMMY Awards, winning 33 GRAMMYS, as well as numerous award winning film/video productions and television specials. Rosen and multi-GRAMMY and Academy Award winning pianist/composer Dave Grusin co-founded GRP Records, the award winning contemporary jazz label featuring major artists, Chick Corea, Diana Krall, Patti Austin, BB King, Dave Grusin, Ramsey Lewis, Arturo Sandoval, Diane Schuur, Michael Brecker, Kevin Eubanks, among others. GRP Records, known as “The Digital Master Company” was the first non-classical company in America to release CDs, and was instrumental in the launching of the CD format.

Mr. Rosen is the chairman of Larry Rosen Productions, where he is the creator and producer of the PBS television HD series LEGENDS OF JAZZ with Ramsey Lewis, and is currently producing a 7 part television series titled RECORDING: The History of Recorded Music, with hosts Quincy Jones and Phil Ramone.

N2K, Inc. (NASDAQ), one of the Internet’s premier e-commerce and content companies, was co-founded by Mr. Rosen in 1996. Mr. Rosen served as Chairman and CEO leading the company to its initial public offering in the fall of 1997. N2K, Inc. brands included music superstore Music Boulevard and its genre-based community sites Rocktropolis, Jazz Central Station, Classical Insites, and artist sites for Leonard Bernstein, Miles Davis, David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, and more, all part of the Music Boulevard Network. The company was the first to distribute music via digital downloads and lead the way for music into the 21st Century. Mr. Rosen architected the plan to merge N2K Inc. and CDNow Inc., the two top Internet music e-commerce companies, completing the merger in March 1999 valuing the combined entity at over $500 million.

Rosen began his musical career as a drummer with the Newport Youth Band and met future partner Dave Grusin while working with singer Andy Williams and attending the Manhattan School of Music. In 1978, the duo formed Grusin/Rosen Productions and signed a long-term contract with Arista Records president Clive Davis to develop new talent for the Arista/GRP label, including Dave Valentin, Angela Bofill, Bernard Wright, and Tom Browne. In 1979, Rosen engineered and co-produced the Dave Grusin album Mountain Dance, the first digitally recorded non-classical album.

Mr. Rosen received Ernst & Young’s prestigious “Entrepreneur of the Year” award in New Media & Entertainment; Forbes magazine named Rosen an “Internet Icon” in the cover story entitled “Masters of the New Universe.” Mr. Rosen served as a member of The Board of Governors of the New York Chapter of the National Association of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS) and served on The GRAMMY Screening Committee. He received the NARAS Governor’s Award and was inducted into the A&R/Producers Honor Roll. Mr. Rosen serves on the boards of The Brubeck Institute, UM Frost School of Music Deans Visiting Committee, and along with Mr. Grusin, Mr. Rosen co-founded the National Foundation for Jazz Education (NFJE), a philanthropic group which helps young jazz musicians.

Chief Operating Officer – Co-Founder

Rick Cikowski is a video editor and interactive media designer. Cikowki’s editing credits include lead editor on RECORDING: The History of Recorded Music. Cikowski’s internationally-aired work has led him as far afield as Russia and India where he worked with the Dalai Lama on HBO’s “Little Monk.” He has also cut shows for various networks such as “Amazing Animal Inventions” for Animal Planet, “Dangerous Beauty” for MSNBC, “History’s Mysteries” for History Channel, and “La Esquina,” a weekly series for with hip hop star Pitbull. He has collaborated with numerous recording artists from Boyz N Da Hood on “MTV Makes A Video” to Iron & Wine’s music video for “Naked As We Came.” He also contributed editing and graphic work to Paul Simon’s Children Health Fund. Cikowski’s talents have made him a key resource for HBO, A&E, Fox, MTV, Travel Channel, The History Channel, ESPN, PBS, and Showtime.

Cikowski’s interactive media design includes websites for Royal Caribbean, JAZZ ROOTS and The Discovery Channel. Cikowski has created interactive web based games for movies such as I am Legend, Pink Panther 2, Sunny with a Chance of Meatballs and Body of Lies, and has produced web-based interactive content for Carib Beer, The Miami Heat and recording artist Pitbull.

Chief Content Officer – Co-Founder

Brandon Dumlao is a Director, Editor and Cinematographer. His rhythmic style and creative eye can be seen in music videos featuring Akon, Young Jeezy, Young Joc, Snoop Dog, Freddy Jackson, Talia, Ivy Queen, Daddy Yankee, Winston and Yandel, Alex and Fido, Toby Love, Trick Daddy and Trina. He has directed domestic and international campaigns for brands including Johnson & Johnson, HP, Esserman International and Ford and has edited the feature documentary Party Animals for HBO, and boxing special De La Hoya vs. Mosley for HBO Boxing.

From Muhammad Ali hitting the speed bag with fellow heavy weight champion Lennox Lewis, to laying on a patch of ice documenting seals in the sub zero waters near Newfoundland, his work as a cinematographer has allowed him to work with living legends and travel the world. Brandon has also been lead editor on shows for Discovery Channel, Science Channel, A&E, ID and HBO, and post production supervisor for the successful “Shark Week” series “Day of the Shark” for Discovery Channel’s Shark Week.

General Counsel – Co-Founder

Leslie José Zigel is a seasoned entertainment industry veteran having worked as both an entertainment attorney and producer of music and entertainment marketing events. He is the principal and founder of ZIGLAW, Miami’s premier multimedia entertainment law firm. Mr. Zigel’s practice focuses on both the creative and business sides of the entertainment industries in the music, television, film, advertising, branding and new technology sectors. Leslie Zigel’s past legal experience includes serving as Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs for BMG Latin America and shareholder and head of Greenberg Traurig’s Miami Entertainment Law Department.

Prior to practicing law, he was a concert promoter, producer and entertainment marketing executive working for Festival Productions in New York. He has been recognized numerous times by fellow attorneys as one of the Best Lawyers in America, Florida Super Lawyers and South Florida’s Top Lawyers. Mr. Zigel has received the “AV” rating from Martindale-Hubbell, representing its highest rating for “very high to preeminent legal ability” and the highest ethical standards.

Mr. Zigel is an accomplished electric and acoustic bass player and he is fluent in Spanish. He is a cum laude graduate of the University of Rochester where he earned a personally-designed BA entitled “A Sociological Study of the Music Industry,” and a cum laude graduate of the University of Miami School of Law where he served as Editor in Chief of the Inter-American Law Review.
